"Toyota Recall"
My source was various web sites. There has been over 5.3 million recalls so far since the first couple of gas petals stuck. Some people have gone into ditches, hit telephone poles, ran into rivers, and even caused car accidence. People are not very happy with Toyota. Toyota is trying their best to fix the problem but its hard so there are still accidence going on. People are still buying cars from Toyota even though they know about the gas petals stick. I am really worried because people could hit us and I really don't want to be in a car accident. I am also worried because people I know and love own Toyotas and i don;t really want them to die or get hurt in any way. I would really like it if they would just take off all of the Toyotas on the road so it would maybe be a bit safer.

- The tone of the book after listening to the first page?

I think the clues that the book gives me so far is an old man that likes to give and also having to do with the forest. I think the tone of the book so far is scared and freaked out. I would say scared because the people in the community always stop when every they hear the loud jet go by. I would pick freaked out because they have never had a jet go over the town before. A boy that gives everything he has and goes to war so he can prove that he is a give and a fighter so he wont give up.

2. Why do you think, “Mirrors were rare”?
I think they were rare because they didn’t want people to think that they were different just because they didn’t look the same as their friends or their community people. Also because they didn’t think they needed them. So they couldn’t think badly on how they look or what they wore they just had to go to school thinking that they looked good even though they didn’t have a mirror. In the book it says, “There was no real need of them”. I think they said this because of what I said above. They didn’t want people to think that they were any different then anyone else and they wanted everyone to be the same/equal. I also think mirrors where rare because they only got all the needs that they needed by plane and a mirror was more like a want but it wasn’t a need so they just didn’t get any.

Why did I pick the book I am reading? January 6, 2010 I picked ‘Young Indiana Jones’ because I have always like the Indiana Jones movies and I thought that the book might be good too. In the book it isn’t Indiana Jones it is his son and his friend so I think that that is really cool. I also picked this book because I though it might be really interesting because people that have read this book told me that it was good. I also picked this book because it was something that I wasn’t used to reading, cause I used to only read vampire books but now I have been reading this book and my friend’s book that she is writing.
Does it meet my expectations? January 8, 2010 So far I think it meets my expectations because I am learning something that I never knew before and because I like books that I can make a picture in my mined with. So as I have said before this book is so far meeting my expectations (the ones that I have). I also think it is meeting my expectations because it is not too difficult [hard to understand] and not to easy as well.

I would pick Indy because he wants to be just like his dad. Indy has a friend that does lots of stupid things sometimes and Indy doesn’t know why he does these things. I think Indy’s feelings are happy because he made a friend even though no one else liked him. Outgoing because he does lots of things that his dad did/does and because he goes with his friend even if he doesn’t want to.
I would say his motivation would be his dad because his dad does all the cool tricks and actions that he wants to be able to do. Also because Indiana Jones is his dad, so I would think he would admire and look up to his dad as if he was the world’s biggest role model/famous person. 1. Who else should read this book? Should anyone not be encouraged to read this book? Why? Would you recommend the book to a friend or fellow classmate? January 13, 2010 I think people that like action and likes the Indiana Jones movies should read this book. January 20, 2010 I thought that all of my emotions that I have had so far are: Laughter, smiles, anger, happiness, excitement, and question. I don’t think that the book is boring and meaningless I think it is full of life, excitement, and adventure. I think this book would be good for people that like to go on adventures. Everyone that has read this said that it was boring and wasn’t very exciting but I think that that is just his or her point of view about the book. I think my impression about the book didn’t really change after reading half of the book. I don’t think I feel any different but I think it taught me stuff that I didn’t know before and I thought it was very interesting to read. Why did I pick the book I am reading?

I picked ‘Young Indiana Jones’ because I have always like the Indiana Jones movies and I thought that the book might be good too. In the book it isn’t Indiana Jones it is his son and his friend so I think that that is really cool. I also picked this book because I though it might be really interesting because people that have read this book told me that it was good. I also picked this book because it was something that I wasn’t used to reading, cause I used to only read vampire books but now I have been reading this book and my friend’s book that she is writing.

So far I think it meets my expectations because I am learning something that I never knew before and because I like books that I can make a picture in my mined with. I thought that all of my emotions that I have had so far are: Laughter, smiles, anger, happiness, excitement, and question. I think the opening chapters where every interesting to me. I think my impression about the book didn’t really change after reading half of the book. I don’t think I feel any different but I think it taught me stuff that I didn’t know before and I thought it was very interesting to read.
